Sinéad Collins is the Centre Head at Maggie’s Manchester having previously worked as an oncology advanced practitioner. Although she enjoyed her clinical role, she always had a burning passion to help and support people both practically and emotionally. She joined Maggie’s Manchester in Nov 2015, before the first brick had even been laid. “Maggie’s Manchester is a cancer support charity located opposite the Christie Hospital, designed to make cancer easier to manage. As well as building the foundations of a fantastic support service in Manchester, Sinead has established many different support groups, including the most recent one for men facing prostate cancer, and is just about to launch a child counselling service and a group for bereaved children. Sinead is the go-to person in everyone’s lives for advice, support and the best hug you will find in Manchester. Having a Maggie’s Centre at The Christie has made a huge difference to tens of thousands of people in the Greater Manchester area.
