Can you help Claire?

In 2008, Claire was recognised at the Inspiring Women Awards for her work with the community theatre she co-founded, Certain Curtain Theatre.
“I was thrilled to win the Arts category of the Inspiring Women Awards in 2008. As a small, non profit, using theatre to engage audiences in subjects like domestic abuse, it was a wonderful achievement to win this great award.
Winning not only raised my profile but also the issues I am so passionate about.”
This year, CCT celebrates its 34th anniversary and that’s a BIG achievement for a small community theatre that doesn’t receive any revenue funding. Now Claire needs help in turning  CCT’s original drama, Lady in Red (“One woman’s struggle to break the chains of love. The definitive play on coercive control.”) into an immersive film.
“I am fundraising on Spacehive to turn our original domestic abuse drama LADY IN RED into an immersive film with BSL interpretation – the film will be launched in Lancashire with free performances in the community followed by digital screenings. As always, we will be linking with local support agencies to connect audiences with face to face support.”
Claire needs 20 backers (well 19 now as we have just backed her) this week to be eligible for a pledge of up to 50% of what they need from Crowdfund Lancashire Pls.
