Carol Ann Whitehead epitomises the phrase ‘ask a busy woman’ Always ready to support or find a solution, without expecting anything in return. A strategic planner, and mentor, she is a dynamic force in the world of inclusion, championing underrepresented voices globally.

Her leadership spans multiple sectors, including her pivotal role as Operations Director of the historic Portico Library, where she is transforming it into a hub of creativity and inclusion, revitalising this important landmark of historic Manchester.

Carol Ann is also a member of GM4Women and a Trustee for 50:50 Parliament’s ‘Amplifying Muted Voices’ campaign, empowering Northern women of colour into political office. A global speaker and award recipient, in 2023, she was featured in Diversein.com prestigious list of “Women Who Change the World” she’s reshaping leadership, creating opportunities, and designing new spaces for diverse voices to thrive.
