Alisha is currently reading Medicine at the University of Leeds and due to graduate in July 2023. During her studies, Alisha has undertaken a clinical elective in Infectious Diseases and Neurology at Hospital de Resturacao, Recife, Brazil and from 2018, has acted as an online tutor in university admission tests including, A-level Biology and Chemistry, GCSE Mathematics and Science

She is passionate about widening access to medical school (WAMS) and worked as a volunteer supporting students from WAMS participating backgrounds in applying for Medicine and helping at Leeds School of Medicine interviews.

During the pandemic, Alisha was a volunteer responder delivering essentials such as food and medications to local people unable to leave the house due to health and lockdown restrictions and taught A-level students via zoom, university material when examinations were cancelled.

A lover of all things sporting, Alisha has been a training volunteer for Disabled Snow Sports UK 2017 – learning how to use adaptive ski and snowboard equipment for children and adults with physical disabilities.
