We All Know an Inspiring Woman. Now Nominate Her.
We’ve all said it at some point: “You deserve an award for what you do.” Now is the time to do something about it.
With nominations for the 35th Inspiring Women Awards closing at midnight on 31 December, the public has just three months left to put forward the remarkable women they believe deserve recognition.
And organisers are particularly keen to hear about the unsung women making an extraordinary difference in their communities.
The Community Award celebrates women whose commitment and determination are changing lives, often without fanfare. But community is just one part of the story. There are seven different awards in 2027, recognising inspiring women at different ages, stages of life and across different areas of achievement.
Since the first Awards in 1993, 147 women have become winners and hundreds more recognised as finalists, each given a platform to tell her story.
Three successive Community Award winners show what that recognition can mean.

Karen Livesey, Community Award Winner 2024, captured the sheer joy:
“What an amazing event! It was excellent, well organised and structured, with an overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the humour, the diversity and the venue. Many thanks for this opportunity and to all the judges who voted for me. This is mega!”
For Karen Wallis, Community Award Winner 2025, the recognition was completely unexpected:
“I was really nervous telling my story, but everyone in the room was so supportive. I felt so overwhelmed when they announced that I had won and saw everyone on their feet applauding.
“Winning the award means a great deal because it recognises the work that myself and others at Emmaus put in to change people’s lives for the better and raise awareness of homelessness.”
Then in 2026, Kerrie Rimmer won for her work with MaxTrax, created in memory of her only child, Max.
“Winning my award at the 2026 Inspiring Women Awards is a deeply humbling honour and achievement. While the recognition is wonderful, the real joy is seeing the impact of MaxTrax every single day.
“His legacy has become a lifeline for not just our community but for others too… I will treasure this award in my heart forever.”
Three women. Three different stories. One thing in common.
Somebody nominated them.
Right now, another potential finalist is out there doing something remarkable and she may have absolutely no idea that anyone has noticed.
She could be an entrepreneur, innovator, community champion, a young woman challenging expectations or a woman in her 50s, 60s or 70s embarking on an extraordinary new chapter.
At the Inspiring Women Awards, every finalist is interviewed at the Awards lunch before the winners are announced, putting their stories at the heart of the event.
On 21 May 2027, the Awards will celebrate 35 years of giving inspiring women a platform to be seen and heard. But the 2027 finalists can only be recognised if someone nominates them.
That someone could be you.
Don’t bookmark the page for later. Don’t assume somebody else will do it. And don’t decide that the woman you’re thinking of isn’t “important enough”.
You already know her. Now is the time to nominate her.
Nominations close midnight, 31 December 2026.

Because telling a woman “you deserve an award” is lovely. Putting her name forward could be unforgettable.
