Know a Woman Making a Greener Difference? Nominate Her

Who is making your business, community or industry more sustainable?

She might be tackling climate change, transforming how an organisation operates, developing greener products, championing the circular economy or turning an environmental idea into measurable action.

If you know her, now is the time to nominate her.

With nominations for the 35th Inspiring Women Awards closing at midnight on 31 December, the public is being encouraged to put forward outstanding women for the 2027 Sustainability Award.

One of seven very different awards being presented in 2027, the Sustainability Award recognises women who are putting environmental and sustainable thinking into action and demonstrating that positive change can go hand-in-hand with ambition, innovation and commercial success.

Three successive winners demonstrate the breadth of that impact.

In 2026, Kat Keddie was recognised after years of work supporting climate solutions through Adopter.

“It was wonderful to be recognised alongside some brilliant women driving impact across the UK and beyond.”

“Behind this win is years of work I’m incredibly proud of. We’ve supported 130+ climate solutions to raise millions in funding, build global partnerships and achieve commercial-scale impact. We became a B Corp two years in – ensuring positive impact was at the core of how we operate from the start.”

Kirsty Rogers, 2025 Sustainability Award Winner, had supported the Inspiring Women Awards for many years but never expected to find herself receiving one.

“The stories and achievements through adversity and courage, as well as through endeavour, have been something I have greatly admired.”

“To be a winner in a category so close to my heart and one which I am lucky enough to focus on every day was overwhelmingly emotional. I left the Awards once more feeling humbled by the endeavours of others and so very glad to be amongst their number.”

For Nicole Broad, 2024 Sustainability Award Winner, the experience reinforced the importance of women recognising their ability to make change happen.

“I had the most incredible day at the Inspiring Women Awards. To hear so many powerful women telling their stories was a total honour, and to have won the Sustainable Award for Women Making An Impact was the cherry on the cake!”

“The Awards are proof that women have a lot more power than society brings them up to believe, so long may they continue!”

Since the first Inspiring Women Awards in 1993, 147 women have become winners and hundreds more recognised as finalists. Every finalist is interviewed at the Awards lunch, before the winners are announced, giving each woman a platform to explain what she does, why it matters and the impact she is creating.

On 21 May 2027, the Awards will celebrate 35 years of recognising women making a difference.

But the next Sustainability finalists can only be celebrated if someone nominates them.

Who is challenging wasteful practices? Who is developing greener solutions? Who is persuading others to think differently? Who is quietly doing work that could have an impact for years to come?

Don’t just admire what she’s doing. Make sure it gets noticed. She’s working to change the future. Take ten minutes to recognise her today.

Nominations close at midnight on 31 December 2026.
