Know a Brilliant Female Entrepreneur? Don’t Just Admire Her – Nominate Her
She spotted an opportunity. Took the risk. Backed an idea, others didn’t quite understand. Built something from scratch, challenged an established industry or simply refused to accept “that’s how it’s always been done.”
Sound like someone you know?
With nominations for the 35th Inspiring Women Awards closing at midnight on 31 December, the public is being urged to put forward outstanding female entrepreneurs for the 2027 Entrepreneur Award.
The Entrepreneur Award is one of seven very different awards being presented in 2027 and celebrates women creating businesses, developing new ideas, disrupting industries and turning determination into tangible results.
And you don’t need to be running a multimillion-pound company to deserve recognition.
Previous winners demonstrate just how diverse female entrepreneurship can be.
Lucy Hope, 2026 Entrepreneur Award Winner, was recognised for her work with The Daughters of Mars and its pioneering approach to women’s health.
“To be recognised in the Entrepreneur category for the work we are doing at The Daughters of Mars was a moment of validation and pride that I still cannot adequately put into words.”
“Women’s health has been underfunded, under-researched and frankly underestimated for far too long. We are building technology that puts biological compatibility at the centre of women’s health and care and to have our mission seen, celebrated and championed means more to me than I can say.”
In 2025, the judges chose two Entrepreneur Award winners, reflecting very different entrepreneurial journeys.

For Pamela Evans, aka The Digger Lady building a business in the male-dominated construction industry has required determination as well as ambition.
“Receiving the Entrepreneur Award is so meaningful for myself and my business. It’s extremely hard to build a business in a male-dominated industry and to have so much support and encouragement in one room felt absolutely amazing.”
“This has truly filled me with confidence to grow the business and encourage more women into entrepreneurship in construction.”

Joint winner Georgia Kirke, founder of Write Business Results and ClioBooks.ai, described winning as a “pinch me moment”.
“This is a tribute to the power of a bold idea, the courage to share it, and the perseverance to turn it into something that impacts lives and businesses.
“To every entrepreneur who’s ever been told, ‘That’s not how things are done’ or ‘That won’t work’: keep going. The world needs more original thinkers who follow through and make things happen.”
Since the first Inspiring Women Awards in 1993, 147 women have become winners and hundreds more finalists, giving women a public platform for their achievements.
At the Awards, every finalist is interviewed at the Awards lunch before the winners are announced, allowing the women behind the businesses to tell their stories in their own words.
On 21 May 2027, the Awards will celebrate 35 years of recognising inspiring women.
But first, the next generation of entrepreneurs needs to be found.
Think about the women in your business network. The founder taking risks. The innovator challenging her industry. The woman quietly building something remarkable.
Don’t assume someone else will nominate her.
You know the entrepreneur. Now put her name forward.
Nominations close midnight, 31st December 2026.
