We are deeply saddened by the news this weekend, of Bana Gora’s sudden and unexpected death. Our sympathies go to her family, friends, colleagues and the community she served.

Bana was the 2025 winner of the Her come the Girls Award which she so thoroughly deserved. She was a powerhouse with a wonderful sense of herself and her causes. During her interview at the awards, she held the room both with authority and humility, generously sharing the applause with her fellow finalists.
