2026 Inspiring Young Woman Award – Iz Durose

 Iz is an artist, community-builder and LGBTQ+ advocate dedicated to using creativity as a force for connection, inclusion and wellbeing.

She is the founder and director of Pot Bound, a community art studio in Lytham St Annes that brings people of all ages and backgrounds together to explore art in a welcoming, supportive environment. Through workshops, creative events and community projects, Iz creates spaces where individuals feel seen, valued and free to express themselves.
Her work often centres LGBTQ+ visibility and social justice, helping to build safe and affirming spaces where people can celebrate identity and belonging through creativity. In recognition of her impact, Iz was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2024, supporting her to explore international ideas that strengthen community wellbeing through art.
